Prophet Lynne Spencer

Lynne Spencer’s Story!

In the Beginning:
I was abandoned as a baby and grew up in foster care. Back in the day, no one would have guessed that I would end up a pastor’s wife. I was quite promiscuous and troubled to say the least.

Rays of Light:

I got saved on the 1st of December 1985. I met Andrew at the church we both used to attend in Bedford (Mount Zion Ministries). He seemed such a happy person full of the Holy Ghost; but other than that I didn’t pay too much attention to him.

An Unusual Romance:

However, I was seeking God’s will in marriage at that time and one day I heard God say, “It’s Andrew.” I pondered on it. Then God began to show me visions. When a good friend of mine visited, we discussed the possibility of sharing the revelation with Andrew.

I asked my friend to test the water and tell Andrew that I liked him. We decided to make a move during lunchtime at one of the Church meetings. I was so anxious about his reaction! That day, I saw a vision of Andrew, I and my children at the altar with the classic hymn ‘showers of blessing’ being sung in the backdrop. However, after my friend had spoken to Andrew, he came down, beckoned to me and said that he was flattered but not ready to get married yet. I felt so stupid, but God kept saying ‘it’s Andrew’.

Andrew started avoiding me at one point although I sometimes caught him watching me closely at church. It was a bit of an awkward situation to say the least but I kept praying over it. The more I questioned God, the more he insisted that Andrew was the one for me. My friend wisely suggested that I ask Andrew to pray over the matter and hear from God himself - which I did.

I wish I could say that we rode off into the sunset and lived happily ever after once we married, but the reality was that we had very little money in those days (for some people this may be hard to believe seeing how mightily God has prospered us financially). We really had to live by faith in those hard times.

All in a Day’s Job

Back in the day I had an evangelical ministry but right now I am devoting more time to the development of my prophetic gifts. I am happy in my role because I am better able to support Andrew and our present congregation consist of loving and mature Christians (even though some people refer to me as the eccentric Jewish woman who dances about during church services!). I am really pleased that NDC is growing both in strength and in numbers.

My typical week is probably similar to that of many Christian women out there. I used to work part time but recently gave up work in order to support our Foster child who has just joined the family. My husband has always been in full time employment and since he’s now started his own business, I render much needed support by helping out with office work when necessary and chauffeuring him and the kids about. I spend quality time with my grandkids, look after the womenfolk, organise Prophets’ Meetings twice a month and facilitate Women’s Meetings periodically.

God is calling me to spend more time studying the bible (His Word) and to walk in the prophetic and apostolic calling. I have ministered in South Africa with Andrew and with a fellow Prophet, Rebecca Moran. Rebecca and I also went to India, where the Lord used us to heal people, and to Trinidad where we encouraged many in the Lord.

In the near future, Andrew and I will be travelling all over the world to minister to hurting people who need the healing message of the gospel.
